Katy Perry is certainly getting into the spirit of the season - this sexy lady is making a special guest appearance in a festive edition of The Simpsons!

In an unusual twist, Katy has filmed a live action segment with puppets instead of appearing in cartoon form! (Could this be a sly dig at Sesame Street, who rudely binned her scenes filmed with Elmo earlier this year due to her “overly revealing dress”??)

The Simpsons episode has (unsurprisingly) been described as “an edgy, dysfunctional Christmas with the Simpsons with some disturbing twists.”

Katy starts the special Christmas edition of the Simpsons as the girlfriend of Elmo. However, she soon dumps him and is seen flirting with the creepily old Mr Burns... (Ew!) Apparently after that, it is the loveable bartender Moe who really catches her eye!

Katy is also set to lead Homer, Bart and the whole Simpsons family in a hilariously, fab rendition of 'the 39 Days of Christmas.'

Simpson's Producer Al Jean couldn't resist releasing a cheeky statement declaring: 'In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry.'

It's the Festival to top ALL Festivals! So it's no surprise that the fancy dress at Glastonbury it probably the wackiest you'll see! Visitors dress in a wide array of fun fancy dress costumes and often upload pictures via their Facebook and Twitter profiles. Nearly 200.000 people go to see over 700 acts across 80 stages, from music and dance to comedy and theatre - Glastonbury is THE ultimate festival. So make sure you have the ultimate Fancy Dress! Thousands attend the event in fancy dress and it is one of the best parties in the world. As well as having this years biggest line-up Glastonbury has also teamed up with Oxfam - who will apparently be featuring a fancy dress tent at the event.  

V festival is one of the biggest commercial events of the festival season. Held over two days in August, V Festival brings world famous acts to Chelmsford and Staffordshire, thisyear will be no different! Headliners include: Eminem / Artic Monkeys / Rihanna / Plan B / The Script / Dizzee Rascal / Pendulum / Kaiser Chiefs / Duran Duran / Manic Street Preachers 

The King's Speech led the nominations for the Oscars, competing in an amazing 12 categories!! And luckily for all those involved, they weren't disappointed…

The British film was crowned Best Film with star Colin Firth named as Best Actor. The Kings Speech also won for Best Original Screenplay whilst Tom Hooper took home the Best Director award.

50 year old Colin Firth (who had been firm favourite to win for his portrayal of King George VI battling a stammer) threatened to do a celebratory dance on stage and joked: "I have a feeling my career's just peaked."

Paying tribute to the film's stars, Tom Hooper said: "Thank you to my wonderful actors, the triangle of man-love which is Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and me. I'm only here because of you guys."

Other big winners on the night included Inception and The Social Network - each had been nominated for eight different Oscars and came away with several each.

Natalie Portman had been the favourite for the Best Actress prize after her performance as a disturbed ballet dancer in Black Swan. Whilst accepting her award, the pregnant actress became a little teary eyed and said: "This is insane, and I truly, sincerely wish that the prize tonight was to get to work with my fellow nominees - I'm so in awe of you."

Christian Bale and Melissa Leo also won supporting acting awards for boxing drama The Fighter.

Despite on missing out on the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in The King's Speech, Helena Bonham Carter raised a few eyebrows as she raised her dress on the Oscars red carpet....

The 44-year-old actress hitched up her black corset-style velvet dress, to reveal she had a Union Jack Flag under there!?

But Helena hasn't got the Flag tattooed there permanently, apparently she just tied the flag to her calf. As you do...

The famous actress has become known for her eccentric dress sense - this year she turned up at the Golden Globes with mismatched red and green shoes. (Now, we love Helena... But has she never heard the saying “red and green should never be seen”!?)

The actress told entertainment channel E! that she had picked an outfit which would "celebrate film instead of fashion".

Matt Cardle!!

Since his first audition, the gorgeously scruffy Matt was pitched as one of the favourites to win this year's X Factor! With his cheeky charm, scruffy cap and lack of attitude (take note Cher...) this lovable singer definitely had our vote!

 In fact, after last night's victory, it was revealed that Matt had come top of the public vote EVERY week apart from the first one!? Wowee - not bad for a painter and decorator!

But Matt Cardle is unlikely to have to paint again after beating the lovely Rebecca Ferguson to win The X Factor and seal that £1million Record Deal...

Apparently more than 20 million households watched the nail biting final last night... And what a dramatic show it was! With guest appearances from Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, Will.I.Am and a very sexy show from Rihanna - no doubt there will have been a few complaints to Ofcom about the amount of skin on show!!

The whole show was a guessing game... no one could have predicted that One Direction would come third leaving Rebecca and Matt in the Final!

On hearing the results, Matt broke down in tears saying: 'Thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted for me. It feels really good to be putting a record out soon. To be the last man standing is just mind blowing.'

The X Factor winner was joined on stage by his fellow X Factor contenders, as he sang his Winners song “When We Collide” (aka Many Of Horror by the awesome Biffy Clyro!) As Simon Cowell would say “Great song choice Matt!!” We definitely approve, but will it be Christmas Number One?!

It must have been a disappointing night for poor Chezza Cole though... The mentor narrowly missed out on wining the X Factor for the third year in a row, as her act Rebecca took second place.

Commenting on the results, Dannii said: 'He totally deserves it. Rebecca was incredible competition tonight. He didn't really believe he had it.'

And as this year's X Factor comes to an end, so does the Style War between Cheryl and Danni! We have to admit that Danni won it for us... Classy and fabulous with great hair, what a yummy mummy!

Well! We thought that we were the Queens of Fancy Dress, but it looks like Katy Perry is after our crown!!

After being spotted sporting a gorgeous Christmas Angel costume last week (see our Blog Post) Ms Perry actually went and outdid herself at the weekend in a super cute “Snow Woman” outfit!!

Katy was putting on yet another sensational performance, this time at KISS FM's Jingle Ball concert at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Dressed in a super 'snowy' dress, Katy performed alongside other star guests including Enrique Iglesias, Nelly and Selena Gomez.

Be prepared to see more of the fiesty Katy Perry in all of her fancy dress glory, when she embarks on her UK tour next year...

Katy said to The Sun: “It's gonna be great. All the dates have sold out in the UK. It'll be really fun, very visual and, like I said, engaging all the senses. Plus, Victoria's Secret are on board so girlfriends - lock up your boyfriends!!” 'That's the thing with me, I think a lot of the girlfriends are bringing their boyfriends and they're not really dragging their feet. They will secretly be excited I think.'

After marrying the hilarious Russell Brand just six weeks ago, Katy has already declared that she counts UK as her second home. (Hurray!)

Even if you girls aren't the biggest fans of this year's X Factor, there's no way you'll have escaped the recent headlines! There's been a LOT of gossiping about the X Factor in the news (and in our office!) since this weekend's candidates for the live shows were announced...

There were tears, smiles and gasps of shock from us girls as each group of candidates were revealed! But the biggest debate has to be over Cheryl's choices for her Top 3:

1) Rebecca
2) Cher and
3) Gamu. ... Oh no, Wait! Katie?!

Shock Shock Horror Horror!!

Gamu had been a clear favourite ever since her first audition, plus with Cheryl's biting comments to Katie, “if I'm honest, you're a bit annoying” (Cringe!) it seemed certain to us that Gamu would be chosen... Despite forgetting her words, crying mid-song and generally being a bit of a Drama Queen, we have to admit that we LOVED Katie's Fabulous False Lashes! Full, false and totally feathery - this is one bit of drama we love!

Highlights from the star studded night of TV included Smithy (AKA James Corden) coming to the rescue of Comic Relief, with the help of some showbiz pals including Sir Paul McCartney, George Michael, Keira Knightley and JLS (who knew they could act AND sing!?)

Peter Kay returned as his alter-ego Geraldine McQueen for his third Comic Relief music collaboration, this time performing alongside the Scottish singing sensation that is Susan Boyle!

Rumour has it that the duet is set to be released world wide! Seriously!!

Other highlights included Take That and 'Fake That', 'Uptown Downstairs Abbey' - a side-splitting spoof of last year's hit show, PLUS Comic Relief does Masterchef which featured Miranda Hart, Ruby Wax and Claudia Winkleman as they tried to cook up a feast for none other than the Prime Minister at Number 10. Wow!

By the end of the show, a WHOPPING £74,360,207 had been raised - the highest total reached on the night in Red Nose Day's 23 year history.

It looks like Cheryl-mania is set to hit the US next year, as sources reveal that Cheryl Cole has been offered the job as an X-Factor Judge on the American version of the show....

After a lot of rumours and “will she / won't she” discussions, the 27-year-old pop star must have been relieved to finally discover that she actually has gained a place on the American judging panel! And not only that but the deal is supposedly worth up to £3million!! Gosh!

Another favourite to join the American panel (and possible competition to Cheryl...) is singer Nicole Scherzinger, who performed her new single Poison on Sunday night's show. We love, love, love, Nicole after seeing her standing in for Dannii Minogue at the auditions this summer!

Good Morning Ladies!

It's 10am at girlynightout HQ and so far we've been dancing round the office to the radio (whilst packing up the orders!) and reminiscing about our early days!

One of our first photo shoots for girlynightout was for our Neon Wear. So we packed up our neon tutus and leg warmers and headed over to the photo studio. After a couple of shots we could see that we needed to inject some life into our pics... So we turned the music up high and spent the afternoon dancing and posing to the Ting Tings!

"That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up & Let Me Go" became two of our favourite songs, so we were thrilled to hear that the duo from Salford were making a come back! This morning when the new single "Hands" came on the radio, we couldn't resist singing and dancing along! (Join in Girls!)

Other news! Emma Bunton revealed live on air that she is finally engaged to ex-Damaged member Jade Jones! The couple have been together for 11 years and already have a 3 year old boy called Beau.

Well, a fine time was had by us girls on Saturday at the Manchester Rugby 7s!

The day kicked off bright and early with some serious sport (and some not so serious fancy dress!) We had a 'Girly Night Out' fancy dress stall available on the day selling our finest Neon Tutus, Shutter Glasses and Festival Fancy Dress!

The festival goers couldn't get their Neon Paint on quick enough! Our Meerkat Masks went down a storm (not sure how this fit into the Movie Themed Fancy dress...) And of course all eyes were on the 'Prestigious' Fancy Dress Cup - provided by yours truly!

The Headliner for Parklife in Manchester has been released.... and registration for Radio One's Big Weekend has finally been opened!!

Us Girlynightout Girls registered bright and early for tickets this morning ... but don't worry registration is open for a week so there's plenty of time!

This years Festival will take place over 14th and 15th May (the same days as our Manchester Rugbys 7s Festival!!) so if we're succesful then we'll have one BIG weekend with 2 GREAT festivals! Wowee. .

It's that time of year when fresh-faced college kids start to try and fend for themselves amidst a barrage of fliers, Dominoes Pizzas and Lesson Timetables! As ex-students ourselves, we've played the Beer Pong, Rode the Bus and drank from the Funnel. While William and Kate know that there are traditions and formalities that they need to observe, it seems that they also realise that some of these could be seen to be well out of date in the 'real world'!

Changes that William and Kate have made to try and break away from the 'dull' Royal traditions:

 - They have chosen the smaller Westminster Abbey — rather than St Paul's for the Royal Wedding.

 - Harry will be called be called the Best Man and not the Royal Family's traditional obscure title of 'Supporter'.

 - The Buckingham Palace lunch is set to be a very 'middle-class' buffet. (Cocktail sausage anyone?!)

 - Unlike Diana, who used the Glass Coach, Kate is arriving at the Abbey by car.

In what could be her most bizarre red carpet entrance yet, Lady Gaga arrived at the Grammys concealed in a giant egg.

Yes, you did read that correctly. In a Giant Egg.

Gaga refused to speak to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet because she was apparently in 'incubation' ahead of her performance! However, she did graciously manage a little wave.

Instead, her scantily clad entourage did the speaking for her:

“She's in an embryonic state and won't be born until the performance”

Obviously.

The huge egg had to be fitted with an oxygen tank and a fan as Gaga apparently spent 3 HOURS inside the Egg before her performance!! Ryan Seacrest told E! viewers that the singer spent this time inside the Egg getting into character ahead of her performance for the Show.

If your only impression of Burlesque was a bloated Christina bouncing up n down the Xfactor stage with dodgy hair extensions... Then read this blog!

The girlynightout team has been to see the film and actually, quite liked it!?

The film (which follows roughly the same plot line as Coyote Ugly) is surprisingly funny and charming! Christina makes a fairly convincing lead role (despite sporting a dodgy fringe)... And whilst the plot line is quite ropey in parts, the singing and dancing more than make up for it!

The Storyline

The Burlesque Lounge is threatened with closure but Tess (aka Cher!) a retired dancer and owner of the venue, is determined to keep the aging theater alive. With persistent threats from a wealthy businessman to buy the spot from Tess, she needs to find a solution quick!! 

The arrival of Ali (Christina!) a small-town girl with a big voice, could be seen to very fortunate timing indeed... Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali quickly proves her worth and takes to the stage!

Good points - Fab costumes, great dancing and it's fun to try and remember where you've seen half the cast before... (Twilight, the OC, Glee, Grey's Anatomy - see if you can spot them!) Plus Jack the bar man is easy on the eye!

Downside? - Cher's cringey 'Last of Me' solo.

Verdict - Yes it's predictable, yes its corny, but its super girly!

The Beckhams were the stars of the evening last night as David was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC's Sports Personality of the Year.

The award clearly meant a lot to the Beckham family who were all rather emotional on the night! (Even Victoria was spotted wiping away a tear or two as she sat with the couple's three sons. Don't ruin your make up Vic!)

During his Thankyou speech, Becks said: 'Of course, I want to thank my wife and my children. Not only has she given me three amazing boys but the support she's given me and she is truly and inspiration for me every single day. So, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - thank you.'

The footballer has clearly come a long way.... Well done Becks!

Kara Tointon crowned the Winner of Strictly Come Dancing

Saturday night also saw the final of Strictly Come Dancing! Kara and Artem took the trophy after impressing the judges with four amazing performances, including the American Smooth and their energetic show dance (complete with Back Flip!! Go Kara!)

After receiving the Disco Ball trophy, the pair put all rumours to rest by sharing a passionate kiss on the dance floor!Commenting in her dance partner, Kara said: 'Thank you to this one. He's been absolutely wonderful, he's made it happen through his mad work.

Afterwards she revealed “We were on cloud nine and we kissed. We were so over-whelmed by it all,'

Sadly by 5am on Sunday morning Kara Tointon had to be rushed to hospital for treatment on a torn ligament in her lower arm. (Ouch!) We hope the lovely lady gets better soon!

Stella is Lord Sugar's new Apprentice

Stella English was finally hired by Lord Sugar after beating rival Chris Bates in a tough final challenge. The pair had to come up with a new alcoholic drink and Stella won with her clever rebranding of 'Bourbon' to Urbon.

Stella will now work as a product manager for the Lord Sugar's computer manufacturing firm Viglen after impressing Lord Sugar with her professionalism and organisational skills throughout the 12-week interview process.

On winning the job, an emotional Stella struggled to hold back her tears as she said: 'Thank you, Lord Sugar, thank you.' (Aw!)

Matt Cardle has the Christmas Number One!

After all the speculation and the “Will he, Won't he”, Matt Cardle shot to Number One yesterday after selling 439,000 in just six days!! The X Factor winner even beat his duet partner Rihanna to the Top Spot!

Hundreds of tiny garden gnomes popped up in our very own Manchester city centre this morning - leaving commuters and shoppers puzzled. (We would have liked to have seen some of the reactions!!)

The little gnomes, complete with traditional blue and red gnome hats, appeared on pavements outside M.E.N. offices in Piccadilly Gardens. Even more tiny men armed with Fishing Rods and Spades were spotted outside the Urbis near Victoria train station...

The Gnome Army is apparently part of a 'Gnome Flashmob' campaign to promote the new 3D film 'Gnomeo and Juliet. The campaign was also carried out at Liverpool Street Station in London yesterday - which you may remember was the location of the T-Mobile 'crazy dance' advert!)

Gnomeo & Juliet 3D is a reworking of the classic Shakespeare play and is released in cinemas this Friday. The all-star cast features surprising voice-overs from Dolly Parton, Hulk Hogan (?!) and even Ozzy Osbourne - maybe there are subtitles for his speaking parts?!

Gisele has created a new animated cartoon called “Gisele and the Green Team!” The fun animation aims to highlight green issues and the importance of the environment to young children. And who wouldn't want to be a cartoon superhero?!

Gisele says: 'I wanted my character's name to be GG since that is what my stepson calls me, but we wound up naming her Gisele and she kind of looks like me and encompasses the idea of me. It was funny to see myself in the form of a cartoon.'

According to the model, the goal is: 'To find ways to educate kids and adults about a subject very important to me and what should be to them - saving the planet!'

Gisele claims she has always been interested in saving the planet, she says: 'Look, when I was growing up my sisters and I wore hand-me-downs and I am now doing the same thing. This all goes back to my motto: Reduce, recycle and reuse.

Since the birth of her gorgeous son Benjamin, this Yummy Mummy is keen to pass on the importance of green issues.

Madame Tussauds unveiled the first of their Lady Gaga models yesterday. There are eight different Gagas, with each attraction getting a different 'Gaga look'.

Our very own Madam Tussauds down in London will be receiving the fabulous “Telephone Gaga” complete with an amazing handset headpiece! Hurray!

The Gaga figure will take the limelight centre stage in the interactive music zone. Lady Gaga wears the enormous Philip Treacy telephone hat she sported on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross back in March 2010!

The Telephone hat has been recreated especially for the wax figure by the world famous Philip Treacy himself. (Wow!) The striking headpiece is teamed with a custom-made Giorgio Armani Privé outfit. The midnight blue suit features the Gaga style shoulder pads, a flash of bra and is completed with a pair of typical towering heels!

Beautiful Ballerina's, Stuttering Royal's and some dodgy Jokes at the Golden Globes!

Congratulations to our Fellow Brit Colin Firth on winning Best Actor at the Golden Globes last night!

The actor fought off tough competition from Jeff Bridges, Robert Duvall, Jesse Eisenberg, James Franco and Ryan Gosling to bag the award (which he had already received at the Critics' Choice Awards on Friday!!)

The 50-year-old (who shot to fame after starring as the dashing Mr Darcy in the BBC's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice) stars as King George VI in The King's Speech. Could he now be tipped to pick up an Oscar next month?! We sure hope so!

Joining in Colin's success was Best Actress winner Natalie Portman, who also received both Critics' Choice and Golden Globe awards for her chilling performance as a tortured ballerina in the movie Black Swan.

In her acceptance speech, the gorgeous Actress thanked her fiancé (who she met on the set of the film) and showed off her new baby bump in a cream Viktor & Rolf dress with red Swarovski rose.

Other big Movie winners included: The Social Network for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score. Toy Story 3 bagged Best Animated film and Glee cleared up the Television Awards scooping: Best TV Series, Best supporting Actress (Jane Lynch - Sue) and Best Supporting Actor (Chris Colfer - Kurt)

Hosting the Golden Globes for the night was our very own Ricky Gervais!

Now. It's a well known fact that British humour and American humour can tend to differ somewhat... And never has this been so evident as it was during the Golden Globes last night!!

Ricky's jokes were so 'close to the bone', that when he didn't appear on stage for an hour during the ceremony, the internet was abuzz with speculation that he had been sacked halfway through the show! He did eventually return, but in subdued form...

Among Ricky's targets were Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp for their roles in The Tourist. Explaining that it had been a big year for 3D movies, Gervais joked: "It seems like everything this year was three-dimensional... except the characters in The Tourist."

Ang and Johnny were both in the audience and managed to keep smiles on their faces...

Ricky also introduced Bruce Willis as "Ashton Kutcher's dad" (Cringe!!) and irritated both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, who presented an award together. The pair were there to celebrate the success of Toy Story 3, for which they did the voices.

When Ricky introduced them, he announced:

"What can I say about our next two presenters? The first is an actor, producer, writer and director whose movies have grossed over $3.5bn at the box office. He's won two Academy Awards and three Golden Globes for his powerful and varied performances starring in such films as Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Castaway, Apollo 13 and Saving Private Ryan. The other is Tim Allen."

A slightly miffed Tom Hanks replied with: "You know, like many of you we recall back when Ricky Gervais was a slightly chubby but very kind comedian."

"Neither of which he is now," remarked Tim Allen.

Apparently US television critics were divided over Gervais's performance, with some applauding him for shaking up the awards show and providing laughs...

Hello girls!

The girlynightout team started our weekend a little early last night with a Halloween Party at Boss-girl Sally's new flat!

 When our Halloween Partyware arrived last week we couldn't resist organising a little Halloween team gathering immediately!! (it's only 2 weeks early...!)

Each team member was given the challenge of bringing a little 'Halloween treat' with them. Inevitably, each girl brought a very naughty sweet treat! We were overwhelmed by homemade Halloween cupcakes, Haribo and even Halloween loot bags that were filled with little games! Sin-sational!

Sally had decorated her flat to a super spooky level! After creeping through the Spider Door Curtain and sneaking past a very neon Hanging Skeleton Decoration... we came across a table full of Skull party plates and cups! Spooktastic!

 After gorging ourselves on Halloween treats and gallons of blood red wine (all served up on our Halloween Partyware!) we ventured outside for a chilling treat... One of the girls had brought a pack of Halloween Sky Lanterns!

Take a look at our pictures to see the Lantern in action! They are actually pretty big, really easy to set off (just avoid any trees!!) and very impressive!

We'll definitely be setting off more Halloween Sky Lanterns on 31st October!

Ok, so we've been blogging non-stop about Halloween recently (we might be a tad over excited about this years Halloween Costumes!) But does anybody know what Halloween is really about?! We decided to google the Halloween Holiday and get the spooky facts! (it's actually quite interesting!)

How it all began.....

Halloween was believed by the ancient Celts to be the one evening of the year when the border between our world and the 'otherworld' became scarily thin.... (Eek!) This allowed good and bad spirits to pass through. Families would encourage and invite past ancestors into their homes, but try and scare away the nasty, harmful spirits!

This is where the tradition of wearing Halloween Costumes and Masks began! The Celts tried to disguise themselves as bad spirits themselves to avoid any harm... Traditional outfits include Witches, Vampires, Cats, Devils and Fallen Angels (all of which are handily available in our Halloween Costume section!)

Nowadays anything goes at Halloween! All manner of costumes are used to scare away the bad spirits - choose your look and spookify your costume with our range of Halloween Hair and Make Up. This is the one time of year when you can really let out your wild side!

It's been a busy month for girlynightout! After a hectic few weeks sending out Halloween orders and organising our new sexy Christmas Costumes (online NOW! eek!) The girlynightout team decided to relax, grab a glass of wine and get together for a beautiful Bonfire Night party!

We got into our 'Winter Woolies', snuggled up round a wood fire, and pulled out some sparklers and chestnuts for a little bit of festive fun! After trying (and failing!) to spell out G.N.O with our sparklers, we managed to safely set off some very impressive fireworks!

To celebrate the arrival of our Ladies Christmas Fancy Dress, the girlynightout team decided it was time to get into the Festive Spirit... So we headed into Manchester town centre on Friday night, to see the Christmas Lights being turned on by the very charming Joe McElderry!

St. Peter's Square was packed with people all in a jolly holiday mood - just what we like! Whilst there we were treated to guest appearances from several Coronation Street Stars and great live music from the cast of Queen's "We Will Rock You" (which included the lovely, familiar face of Ex-HearSay member Noel Sullivan - remember him?!).

The event featured an amazing Projection Show by sponsors Moet & Chandon, which actually managed to temporarily transform the Town Hall into one giant Champagne Bottle - yummy! Finally the lovely Joe McElderry took to the stage to sing his fab, new song and to turn on the twinkly Christmas Lights.

The night ended with a fantastic Firework display (which just about managed to beat our Bonfire night the other week...!) Amazing work by Manchester City Council and Key 103!

So, the Holiday Season is here and it's time to start preparing for your Christmas Girly Nights Out! There are plenty of treats available in our Ladies Christmas Fancy Dress section... When we wrote our Celebrity Wedding of the Year Blog way back in January, it seems we missed off one very important marriage - the joyful union of Sue Sylvester with the love of her life... Herself.

The cheerleading coach made the spontaneous decision to get married in last night's episode of Glee. And while most Brides dream of walking down the aisle in a beautiful white gown to meet their Soulmate, this clearly isn't the case in Glee Land...

Yes, Glee's Sue Sylvester isn't 'most Brides'.

After suffering a devastating heartbreak in season one of the series, Sue realises (with the help of an online dating website) that the only real match for one Sue Sylvester is... herself.

So the plucky lady decides to take the plunge and get hitched in a ceremony - also carried out by herself!

We don't know if she had something old or something new or even something borrowed... But she definitely had something blue!

Here at girlynightout we know exactly what it is like to grow up in a house full of girls - sharing make up, borrowing hair straighteners and stealing clothes.... Well, we think it's time that these terrible teenagers got their very own range of fancy dress!

 The American rapper (whose new song is Scott Mill's Record Of The Week!) has caused quite a stir around London this week.... Taking in the sites in style, Ms Minaj wore a variety of Neon Hair Extensions and Accessories to match her brightly coloured outfits!

The unknown American Pop singer released her single 'Friday' on YouTube and iTunes in the middle of March and it became an instant hit! So you would think that it was really really good, right?

Wrong.

The song has received an extremely negative response, with some critics calling it the "worst song ever!! Despite this, the music video that was uploaded to YouTube has since received over 70 million views (as of 1st April 2011).

Talking to People magazine he said: 'I love her and the fact that she's gotten so much publicity. People are so upset about the song, but I think it's hysterical.'

'I want to meet her. Anyone who can create this much controversy within a week, I want to meet. I love people like that.'

Rebecca herself says that: 'I think I have talent on some level. I don't think I am the worst singer but I don't think I'm the best either…'

She added that the whole point of the song was that it was “catchy” (and presumably not a timeless classic then?!)
